Uganda Film and Television is located in
Rubaga, a 10 minutes drive from the central Post Office in Kampala
City and is easily accessible by road at any time of the day. Rubaga
is a more ethnic and multicultural section of Kampala city council,
comprising of the Baganda being the biggest ethnic group. This
place has a lot of history to tell...both for itself and its people,
from magnificent buildings like the Rubaga Cathedral...centre for
Catholic ideology to the eye-catching Kabaka's lake. A missionary
hospital built in the early 1970's continues to offer Medical Aid to
the people of Rubaga and the nearby suburbs. Rubaga Hospital has kept
an image in medical service that is yet to be beaten.
Being isolated from the city centre noise;
Rubaga is quiet enough to enable students concentrate on their work
yet not too boring to make their minds "freeze." For students who
choose to stay in a hostel near the institute, there are recreational
facilities and services in Rubaga, ranging from Restaurants and Pubs
to swimming pools and night clubs. Its all here.
